There have been a lot of conjecture and speculations surrounding the cause of the explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.
But the fact is that, in 2014, a container with ammonium nitrate was confiscated at the port and left unattended to by the authorities.
People revealed that, the huge explosion, was caused by a welder at work. He was working close to this confiscated ammonium nitrate.
On the other hand, it is also hypothesized that, Israel targeted Hezbolla weapon depot at the port and planned to destroy it with an explosive device.
Tensions have been so high between the State of Israel and the Shiite Hezbollah militia in Lebanon.
This rivalry between the two mentioned above is open to the world.
Without a doubt, there has been a back and forth attacks and retaliation on both sides.
Tragically, Israeli intelligence did not perform due diligence on its target that they did not know (or if they did know) they didn’t care that there were 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate stored in a next door Warehouse.
The explosion at the arms Depot ignited the fertilizer coursing the catastrophe that resulted.
It is, of course, unconscionable that Israeli agents did not determine everything about their targets including what was in its immediate vicinity.
The tragedy Israel has wreaked is a war crime of immense magnitude.
However, the Isreali Prime Minister has denied any affiliation to the explosion.
More so, scientists estimate that the Beirut explosion was equal to about 3 kilotons of TNT. About one-fifth of the “Little Boy” atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima during the Second World War.

The blast produced seismic waves equal to a magnitude 4.5 earthquake.
A lot of nations have come into solidarity with Lebanon.
Which includes the French President, Emmanuel Macron who was awake at 2 a.m., France time, working on sending aid to the Lebanese people on the day of explosion
While Michael Aoun, the Lebanese president did not address his people after 14 hours of the tragedy.
Passionately, the Lebanese flag can be seen on some tourist buildings in Dubai.
Besides, Egypt Giza pyramid lights up with Lebanese flag in solidarity with its people after the horrific explosion on the Beirut ports.
Also, the US President Donald trump has sent his solidarity to the nation.
As at the time of this publication, President Trump, spoke with President Aoun of Lebanon.
Sending to Lebanon, 3 large aircraft with medical supplies, food, water, and emergency equipment to help.
Apparently, the death toll has risen to 135 and about 5,000 wounded.
Due to the massiveness of the explosion, the authorities are not able to quantify the casualties.
Buildings, the port, vehicles among others.
In conclusion, there’s a 2020 for the world and there is a whole other level of 2020 for Lebanon.
