In fact, the Protest Was In Opposition To The Valued Added Tax (VAT) Initiative.
Besides, it was Introduced By The Then Jerry John Rawlings Administration of ‘Poor Governance, Dictatorship And Corruption’.
Unfortunately, The Demonstration Which Started Peacefully Became Violent And Bloody.
As a result, leading to The Death Of Some Of The Protestors.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo (Now The President of Ghana), Was The Leader Of Such Protest.
Also, Some Of The People At The Forefront Of This Bloody Protest Were Dr. Charles Wreko Brobbey (Politician)
Also, Kwasi Pratt Jnr (Journalist), Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe (Politician).
Including, Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako (Journalist), Akoto Ampaw (Lawyer), Victor Newman (Politician), Kwaku Opoku (Politician).
Along with Napoleon Abdulai (Politician) And Agyiri Blankson (Politician)!!
