The Ghana Police Service has released a list of roads that would be closed to the public ahead of the swearing-in of the president and his ministers for the next tenure of office to begin.
According to reports available indicates that, some major roads would be affected by the closure with many advised to adhere to the notice and comply as such.
Naming some of the roads to be closed, they stated that, Osu Cemetery area, Castle route from AU Circle to Osu Cemetery traffic light, Cross route to Starlet 91 streets, Independence Square, Gamel Abdul Nasser Road, Opeibea to 37 Interchange, Ako Adjei and Liberation Road will be closed to the public.
They further stated that some alternative routes have been made available so as to enable movement to any part of Accra without difficulties.
